The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) was successfully held from September 4 to 6, 2024。The summit gathered heads of state and government, heads of delegations from China and 53 African countries, the chairperson of the African Union Commission, and ministers of foreign affairs and economic cooperation。

Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of The State Council, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the China-Africa-UNESCO Dialogue on Cooperation in Education and Cultural Heritage Protection on September 6。Ding Xuexiang stressed that "China will cooperate with UNESCO to set up a heritage protection trust fund project to help Africa enhance its capacity to protect cultural heritage.。”

The China-Africa-UNESCO Trust Fund Project is scheduled to run from October 2024 to December 2026,旨在实施习近平主席提出的中非人文合作计划、能力建设行动及人文交流工程等重大倡议,Support the development of African countries in World Heritage declarations, cultural and natural heritage education and capacity-building of young professionals。

Zhang Rouran, associate professor, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Shenzhen University,Selected and recommended by the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO from universities and research institutes across the country,It was selected by UNESCO,As of January 2024,As a representative of Shenzhen University,Assigned by the Ministry of Education to the World Heritage Centre at UNESCO Headquarters as P4 Project Coordinator。He participated in the preparation of the Dialogue and will be responsible for the implementation of the China-Africa-UNESCO Trust Fund Project (2024-2026), which will significantly enhance Shenzhen University's influence in the field of international cultural heritage protection。
